NEET UG 2025 BDS: Expected Cutoffs & Admission Trends As NEET UG 2025 approaches, BDS aspirants must understand how cutoffs (ranks/marks) are trending. In NEET 2024 the qualifying percentiles for BDS were 50% for General (around 163–144 marks for UR) and 40% for reserved categories. In practice, top dental colleges demand much higher scores. For example, Maulana Azad Dental Institute Delhi (50 seats, Govt) saw closing AIR ranks of ~26,503 in 2022 and ~23,578 in 2023, indicating cutoffs are rising (scores needed are increasing). Based on past data, we expect NEET 2025 BDS cutoffs to remain steep: typically, General category candidates need ~550–600+ marks (above 98 percentile) to get into Govt. dental colleges, while OBC/SC/ST have somewhat lower thresholds. Cutoff marks have been climbing (2023 cutoffs ~720–137 marks for Gen vs 715–117 in 2022), so aim high.
